”Personally as a designer, I think this kind of showcases are important for the community which I am also a part of on the personal level. On a professional level or whilst seeking funding for my work I usually still need to hide my sexuality - And, I did not mean now if I should tell about my personal preferencies on meetings, interviews or grant applications - Exactly Not! All this just should not matter to anyone and mykind could feel completely alright for being and feeling openly themselves.
I wish the future for LGTBQIA+ artists and designers will be big and bright; society, employers, institutions, communities, galleries etc. should showcase and credit more queer artists’ work - Not because of them being LGBTQIA+, but all of us as human beings are worth of gaining respect for the work done and precious time spent on creating something artistically awesome and socially important as spreading the joy of this community. There are still stigmas to break in this world, especially within international art and design management and on a curator level. If someone is questioning this, please send me a request thank you." #everydaypride
